The season was a challenging one with heavy rainfall early in the season, hail storms, wind, and little to no rain to finish out the season.
Some highlights of the challenges we faced:
May 10th we received 1.08 inches of rain along with temperatures that fell below freezing for the two days to follow.

June 1st we received 2.66 inches of rain, followed closely with 2. 58 inches of rain on June 5th.  This storm included some golf ball sized hail.  These two storms in the first week of June accounted for 5.24 inches of the 5.95 inches of rain for the entire month.
We joked that we would change the name of the Farm to
‘Lake IRF’.

July 30th brought us 1.99 inches of rain with some marble sized hail which was a little rough and caused some damage to some of the crops.
August 20th we saw another hail storm with heavy rain.  Due to a malfunction in the weather station, we are unsure of the total rainfall for that day, but we were back to ‘Lake IRF’ with standing water all over the Farm.  This storm lasted no more than 30 minutes, so it came with a bang!

September rainfall for the entire month was only .23 inches!  Very dry!
